Stiff steering

Hi my boat has 2 x 160 volvo D3 engines with Volvo legs, when I first use the boat the steering is fine however after approx 40 or so minutes the steering starts to stiffen up to a degree where I need both hands to turn the steering wheel. I have topped up the hydraulic fluid on the teleflex steering hich which was low, both the teleflex and power steering reservoirs which are now both level. Has any one got ay idea's.

The obvious things like greasing any nipples on the leg steering pivot bearings, lubricate the anchor bearings for the hydraulic ram, both ends.
If the problem remains disconnect the link rod between the two legs and check if one of them is tight on the pivots.
I take it the hydraulic steering is manual, not power assisted. If it is power assisted check any drive belts for the pump, they may be slipping when warmed up.
