Woolverstone Marina is set in 22 acres of glorious parkland on the picturesque River Orwell with the Royal Harwich Yacht Club nearby.
There are a number of navigable estuaries close at hand, providing interesting sailing in sheltered waters. The adjacent River Stour is particularly scenic and there are numerous creeks in Walton Backwaters to explore. To the south, the Colne and Blackwater estuaries offer varied sailing, while turning north takes you towards the River Deben where you can cruise upriver past Ramsholt to the pretty town of Woodbridge.
A little further up the coast is the Ore / Alde River, where a fast tide sweeps you past Havergate Island, up to picturesque Orford and on to Aldeburgh. For those wishing to head further afield, Ostend is only 79 miles from Harwich. Holland and France are also within easy reach.
Our Chatham Maritime Marina, situated on the River Medway in Kent, is just a day's cruise away.
As well as 235 pontoon berths, there are 110 swinging moorings with a water taxi service. In addition to the excellent berthing facilities, there is an on-site caravan park along with a sailing school.
Boatyard Facilities
As well as providing first-class berthing and marina services, Woolverstone Marina has a boatyard which offers excellent facilities for boat owners wanting to carry out boat repairs or maintenance work. There is storage ashore for over 250 boats as well as yacht stores and undercover mast storage.
Besides a 9.5 ton mobile crane, purpose-built lifting dock and cradle hire, there is a wide, easy-access slipway, including an access pontoon, with ample space for car parking and trailer storage. There is also a main Volvo Penta dealer on site along with a well-stocked chandlery and specialist riggers.
For your convenience, diesel is available enabling you to fill up as and when you need.
